According to the position of the handle, the pressure gauge cook gives an option to vent the connected pressure gauge or under pressure, to vent pressure measuring instrument or medium escape. With test connections, the gauge cock are supposed to immediate the connection of operating pressure measuring instruments. There is another position of the handle that allows the simultaneous connection of the operating pressure gauge. In order to allow the testing or replacement of the gauge, the pressure gauge cocks are intended to separate the pressure gauge from the pressure media where the pressure is constantly pulsating. Enabling the pressure instrument to be separated from the pressure media, the gauge cocks are a way of shutting off the air flow to the instrument.
